Welcome to MingleMinds. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MingleMinds mobile application and related services (“Service”), operated by MingleMinds, Inc. (“MingleMinds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use MingleMinds. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information,
Maintain only one account,
Not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity,
Keep your login credentials confidential,
Be responsible for all activity under your account.
MingleMinds is a dating platform designed to foster intentional connections through curated profile interactions. Our MVP feature set includes:
Home Screen: Displays curated profile previews based on interaction pacing.
Waiting Room: Displays profiles you’ve liked who haven’t yet initiated a chat. Profiles expire after a defined time window.
Active Chat: Limited chat slots where matched users engage in conversation. Users can move matches in and out of Active Chat.
Messages: All conversation history is centralized in a dedicated message view.
The Opener: An optional, AI-powered consumable that generates a message to initiate contact with a match.
MingleMinds may modify, remove, or introduce features at its sole discretion.
You agree not to use the Service to:
Violate any law, regulation, or third-party rights,
Harass, threaten, abuse, impersonate, or intimidate others,
Upload or distribute sexually explicit, hateful, or offensive content,
Solicit money or commercial services from other users,
Create fake profiles, spam, or manipulate platform logic,
Scrape data, reverse engineer, or interfere with app functionality.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine that your conduct violates these Terms or threatens the integrity of the Service.
MingleMinds does not conduct criminal background checks or identity verification of users. You are solely responsible for exercising caution when choosing to interact or meet with others, both online and offline.
We strongly advise meeting in public places and informing a trusted person of your plans. MingleMinds disclaims liability for any physical, emotional, or financial harm arising from user interactions.
MingleMinds offers “The Opener,” a feature that generates a suggested first message using AI based on a match’s profile.
By using The Opener, you acknowledge and agree:
The message is generated using a third-party large language model (LLM) and is offered “as is.”
You are responsible for reviewing and choosing whether or not to send the message.
You are responsible for any communication resulting from the use of The Opener.
The content may not always be accurate, appropriate, or aligned with your preferences.
Use of The Opener is optional and provided solely for convenience.
You may purchase Opener credits through Apple’s App Store or Google Play.
All billing, purchases, and refund requests are handled by the respective app stores. MingleMinds does not provide refunds for in-app purchases, including unused or expired Openers.
Once an Opener is used, it is non-refundable, even if not sent.
You understand and accept:
Waiting Room profiles and matches may expire or disappear after a set time (e.g., 120 hours).
Active Chats may be paused or moved without notification if match limits are exceeded.
Messages, profiles, and Opener usage data may not be permanently stored.
We are not responsible for the loss of any user data, matches, or messages.
You retain ownership of the content you upload (e.g., profile photos, answers, messages), but grant MingleMinds a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Service.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or harms the user experience.
MingleMinds is distributed through third-party platforms (Apple App Store and Google Play). Your use of these platforms is governed by their respective terms and conditions.
We are not liable for service interruptions, account issues, or policy changes imposed by these platforms.
Some features in MingleMinds may be experimental, incomplete, or labeled as “beta.” These features may be modified, removed, or fail to function as expected. We disclaim any liability related to the performance or outcome of beta features.
We use third-party tools (such as Mixpanel) to collect anonymized usage data for the purposes of:
Improving feature performance,
Monitoring app engagement,
Detecting and addressing abusive behavior.
By using the Service, you consent to this tracking.
We may suspend or permanently disable your account if:
You violate these Terms,
You engage in harmful behavior,
Required by law or app store compliance.
If your account is terminated, you may lose access to matches, messages, and purchased features without refund.
MingleMinds provides the Service “as is” and makes no warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
That you will find a match or romantic outcome,
That all users are genuine or truthful,
That the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MingleMinds is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from:
Your use or inability to use the Service,
Interactions with other users,
Loss of matches, data, or in-app purchases.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MingleMinds, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim or demand arising out of:
Your use of the Service,
Your violation of these Terms,
Content you submit, post, or share.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration, conducted on an individual basis. You waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
